Once your application has been received, accepted, and approved, you will be contacted by phone or mail to schedule your pre-employment testing. You must attend all pre-employment tests in the period of your application acceptance. The pre-employment tests consist of a written exam that is comprised of sections that help assess your ability to solve simple mathematics, reading comprehension and problem solving, as well as, sections to test fire and medical knowledge. Only those that pass the written exam will move onto the Job Task Simulation Test (JTST). The JTST consist of task oriented events related to the fire and EMS service.
